Love how you captured this guy's look and attitude! Your loose bold style it wonderful and I too like the green. At first I thought it was underpainting showing through, but after a closer look, now I think you added it on top...? love it!

I'm glad that this series is keeping you inspired. I say that for selfish reasons too (!) because I enjoy looking at them!
Have fun.

These portraits are wonderfully loose and simple. Very nice, Helen.

You are exactly who I've been looking for. I immediately fell into like with your heads. This year I decided, after blogging for three years, that portraiture is (unfortunately) my best cup of tea. I say unfortunately because it is no carefree genre. It's a lot of work. I enjoy it.I can do it. But it's stressful at times. Heads are what I have to do one after the other till they come easily. You're doing that and doing it well. You have my admiration--and my support. I'd be honored to become a follower.

Ciao,
Che belli i tuoi ritratti...molto intensi ed espressivi... di persone
che godono e soffrono la vita e che ti trasmettono parte delle loro tensioni!!
Ciao, ciao, Floriana
