The title is in French because I painted this from a photo I took at 'La Grande Plage', Biarritz, France. I won't lie to you...... the wet sand and the high tonal key was quite a challenge ! The darkest dark was just that small shadow under the left foot.

I was born in Tuscany, on a sandy coast, in Versilia. The light of this walk on the foreshore is really PERFECT. Color and atmosphere are those of my walks. Thanks for this sweet memory!

The high key gives it the feel of a walk on the beach. That little dark shadow is a wonderful punch! It's really a lovely painting and the wet sand is perfect!
