I really like how you handled the paint on this one. Great range of skin tones on those nooks and crannies. Older folks make for such interesting portraits. Their faces have character, life. They leave the realm of pretty and make you really want to know more of their story.

Love the way you painted this curmudgeon-y guy—the brushstrokes you used around his eyes and nose are distinct but fit perfectly with surrounding areas. Great color sense.
