UNE PAUSE, LE MARAIS, PARIS

This was painted from a photo that I took during a recent trip to Paris. I ended up with hundreds of photos, but of course only a very small number are suitable to paint. Thank goodness for digital cameras !

Helen, this is so beautiful. I love the telephone. It almost looks like French paintings done in Marocco in the 1800's.

Good afternoon Helen!... A very delightfully loose treatment and carefully coloured Parisian pastiche.

One has the feeling of... "listening in"... as well as viewing inconito a visually arresting moment. The painting captures the full senses of your viewer!
