JUST IN TIME

SOLD

#276 - 6" x 6" - Oil

The great thing about Chrysanthemums is that they last for quite a while. I had this bunch for nearly two weeks before I could get around to painting them. They were just starting to wilt which is why I called it 'Just in time'

Good job of depicting the different textures, the flowers are wonderful and what a great rendering of the glass! Ala prima often leaves clouds feeling the same as water or rocks, but not your work--Yay!

You would never know they were starting to wilt! They look so alive and I love that lime green:)

You've managed to make them look beautiful in their advanced age!

I like your wilting flowers as much as I like doing portraits of older people; aging subjects have character, interest. The painting is lovely; a real nice job on that glass. Those are my juice glasses. 😄
