I thought painting checks would be a challenge as well as fun.
WELL.........I can tell you that I nearly 'checked out' while I
was painting them. It may be a long time between checks!!!
It may have been difficult to paint those checks, but your painting doesn't show it. I love this. Great design, and as usual you know when how to simplify with such intelligent grace.
Really great! Love the checks. But what is really great is how you painted the distortions of those checks through the bowl. And love the shadow, too. I can't say enough good things!

It is gorgeous! Love the checks and the warm color scheme. especially the contrast of the tomato and the blue of the glass.
