I must admit that at times I find still life boring......yes I know I should be wrapped over the paint brushes for writing that. But! At the moment I am trying to paint a single object or two in a way that I hope gives it a 'personality' ......so for now........ The hunger has returned!

I love your choice of colours, you always know how to harmonise and your clever brushwork gives the viewer plenty to think about, as if seeing through a windscreen on a rainy day, I love the effect!!

I like these last two that you have painted, they have movement and don't seem so static - something I wish I could achieve.

Beautiful Helen! I really like the movement surrounding the pear, as if it morphs with the background. I'm glad the hunger has returned!

Love the 'personality' in these last two Helen. I need to do something to get myself out of the rut I'm in!

Nice work, Helen. Your loose brush strokes are beautifully done and I love the colors you chose.

I really like the lost edges in this little pear painting.

All your subjects have so much personality and energy! You are the perfect role model for "it's not what you paint, but how you paint it." Really enjoyed catching up with your blog this morning.
