ROSE ROSE BLUE

#275 - 5" x 7" - Oil

Luckily these roses withstood some moving around and more time under the spotlight. I'm happy to say that not one petal was lost during the course of this painting!

What can I say!! This is how roses should be painted! Glad to hear there has been no cruelty to roses. Lol

Me too. Are these cut roses? Or garden roses? Having just cut down the Rose bushes in my garden just a tad late, I couldn't stand it if they are in bloom somewhere else. Winter is so slow to leave. But back to the painting. It's to be envied!

Beautiful painting of roses in this and previous post! Really love the sensitivity and changes in your "touch" depending on the subject. I also love the Cricketeers and your use of blazing white against such perfectly chosen grays. Your ability to paint light is inspiring!

Good afternoon Helen!... neither was one iota of the essence of the flower diminished either... despite the limited space!

So much said... on so small a format! Bravo!

Good Painting!... and Happy Spring!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
